Computer Application Project 1 - Modelling of an Architectural Design (20%)
Throughout this project, I have learnt about the construction of 3D model using Rhinoceros and 3DS Max. I have understood the functions of standard primitives, splines and modifiers. I also have learnt the methods to utilize polygon modeling and NURBS modeling in producing the 3D models. In this project, I have chosen a residential house as my 3D model. I have built my model using autocad from the plan and elevations.

Computer Application Project 3: A maximum 90 seconds Animation of the completed 3D Scene (30%)
In this assignment, we are required to make a 60 to 90 seconds video animation using 3DS Max and Windows Movie Maker. We are required to use moving camera as well as object motion to form the video of our building.
As a result, I planned to make a video similar to movie trailer, which is to create suspense as well as strong storyline based on several camera paths and object motion. Overall it was quite an exciting, challenging experience but tiring time especially the time used on rendering the scenes.
This project has improved my 3D model editing skills as well as my video editing skills and it requires plenty of patience to compile it into a video. Besides, I also learnt the basic steps to set up the camera to capture the best possible angle for a particular scene.
Lastly, what I think really interesting is that we are allowed to form our own storyline for this animation video, we are able to express our creativity and implant it into our building to form a much more attractive video compare to just focusing on our building.
