In  this  project,   we  are  required  to   produce  a  complete  documentation  and analysis  of  materials  in respect  to  physical  and  chemical  properties  and  Identify various  types  of  building  material  (Finishes  and  Structural).  Besides,  we  can  understand  the e  ffects  of  building  materials  on  aesthetics  and  structural qualities  of  a  space  or  building  as  well  as  understand  the  appropriateness  of material  used  in  context  several  factors occupancy,  concept,  climate.  We  also  able  to  acquire  analytical  skill  in  understanding  selection  of  building  materials for  a  building/design.  Moreover,  we  are  able  to  understand  application  or  nstallation  of  material  as  finish  and  structural material  (simple  construction).

In  this  assignment,  we  are  assigned  into  a  group of  5.  We  chose  'Penang  G-Hotel'  as  our  study  building  due  to  its  exciting  and  elegance  appearance.  We  purposely  spend  a  weekend  to  visit  the  hotel.  When  we  first  enter  the  hotel,  we  are  amazed  by  the  usage  of  multiple  unique  materials  and  the  way  all   the  materials  blend  together  as  a  unit.  It  took  us  a  while  to figure  out  all  the   materials  used  to  design  the  lobby.  After  visiting  the  hotel,  we  feel  that  we  had  learn  a  lot  of  materials  which  we  have  never  seen  before.  The  main   theme  of  the  hotel  is  simplicity  and  elegance.  After  the  trip,  we  assigned  our  tasks  and  we  started  to  do  our  tasks   accordingly.  It  took  us  around  1  week  the  finish  up  the  entire  assignments.  Overall,  We  are  enjoying  and   pleased  with  the  entire  process  of  the  assignment.
