PROJECT 1 : CASE STUDY PAPER
In this project, we are required to conduct extensive research within the framework of sustainability design in Asia. The sustainability framework focuses mainly on the building assigned for respective site, which is S11 House designed by AR. Tan Loke Mun and built by Archicentre with research objectives defined through in-depth literature review, leading to a well-established case study paper structure and writing. This assessment involve oral presentation as well as a written paper of 3000 to 4000 words. The final topic of the paper should be evolved in discussion and consultation with the tutors. This project basically integrates the arthitectural design and research through a specific case study and introduces students to activitieswhich culminate in the production of the study.

PROJECT 2 : DOCUMENTATION STUDY
In this project, we are assigned to explore a street in an Asian City in order to understand the historical and social aspects of a city by examining the development of tradition, modernization and globalization of streets. Every city in Asia has its own unique characteristics, which could be presented in the form of architectural iconography, a semiotic interpretation based on visual elements. By visiting these streets, we are assigned to identify the architectural elements as visuals or symbols that construct the semiotic interpretation of the street or its iconography. These semiotic interpretations may be based in culture, architecture and traditions which may have changed in the past decades due to modernisation and globalisation.
